The wrapping specialists from Cam Shaft give the Lotus Espirit the legendary black and gold livery, which has been the brand's trademark since forever. The star status of the John Player Special livery of the Lotus racecars is built on the achievements of great drivers, among which there's also Brazilian Ayrton Senna da Silva. The Lotus Espirit was in production between 1977 and 2004 and it was designed by Giorgio Giugiaro. Currently Lotus announced its plans to resurrect the Espirit, which should come back to life in a few years' time. The Espirit was the first Lotus to get a V8 engine. It was a 3.5-liter unit with an output of 354 hp (260 kW) and 400 Nm of torque. Back in the day, the Lotus Espirit was a true sensation. It has a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration time of 4.9 seconds, a top speed of 282 km/h and a price tag of 150,000 DM.

Apart from the color scheme, Cam Shaft's Lotus Espirit also features a number of technical upgrades. It comes with a Red Race control device required by the re-programmed ECU, and a modified turbocharger with a bespoke cooling system. Two 100-cell structure catalysts have also been installed. The Espirit's original Renault 5-spped transmission is replaced with a 6-speed Dog-Engagement gearbox. As a result, the Cam Shaft Lotus Espirit is rated with an output of 492 hp (362 kW) and a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration time of just 4.3 seconds. Its top speed is 305 km/h. The Cam Shaft Lotus Espirit is fitted with a high-performance AP brake kit, featuring 4-pisont calipers and 330 mm discs.

The Cam Shaft Lotus Espirit's price has not been disclosed.
