Dodge released this week the details of their customization program for the 2016 Viper. According to Dodge, their "1 of 1" personalization program offers around 50 million possible combinations. It includes 8,000 exterior color options and 24,000 stripe options. Well, customizing your 2016 Viper is going to take quite a bit of time. dodge also says they offer a custom "1 of 1" program, which doubles those numbers. These exterior color options also include matte finishes. Apart from the matte exterior, you can also choose between satin chrome or satin black badges and fuel filler doors. As part of this program, your 2016 Viper is going to be painted by hand, which allows Dodge to offer such flexibility in choosing the color of your ride.
Apparently, it takes between 145 to 160 man hours to prepare and paint a 2016 Viper.
The actual painting process takes around eight hours, after which the car is sanded by hand with 1,000 grit paper and polished. To get the matte look, the Viper is sanded a second time and then matte clear paint is applied. Dodge did not disclose the price of their new customization program for the 2016 Viper.
