This is the video of the second attempt of Karl Jacob to break the speed record for a street legal car. He first tried to brake the record in may, but he failed. The old speed record for a petrol powered street legal car was 350 km/h.
The new record claimed by Karl Jacob is 355km/h. He accomplished this speed in a street legal bio-fueled Viper, built especially to prove that "performance" and "alternative fuels" can be used in the same sentence.
Karl Jacob discovered that from one point of view, bio-fuel is better than petrol. The reason is this: the burning of ethanol from bio-fuel has the effect of lowering the temperature in the combustion chamber and this results in more power.
