Hi Pa Drive Ford F150

The UK based company PML Flightlink announced that it will present at this year's SEMA show an electric version of the Ford F150, called the Hi-Pa Drive Ford F150. The Hi-Pa Drive Ford F150 was built in collaboration with Ford and for this project had its mechanical drivetrain, gearbox, transmission, engine, exhaust, gas tank and the differential removed. This offered the needed space for a 40-kilowatt battery. The Hi-Pa Drive acts like a motor that delivers over 150 hp per wheel and like a generator that recaptures the kinetic energy lost during braking.

Each 66-lb. motor of the Hi-Pa Drive Ford F150 delivers 150 lb.-ft. of torque, which adds up to be more than the output of a 320-hp 5.4L V8 engine.
