Honda released at the end of last week the first official video of the CR-Z Mugen, which will have its world debut next month, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Honda powers the Mugen CR-Z with a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine which sends 200 PS and 181 lb.ft of torque to the car's front wheels. The Honda CR-Z Mugen is 50 kg lighter than the standard version, which makes it faster and it also reduces the car's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. In fact, Honda claims that the Mugen CR-Z is able to offer up to 50 mpg when run in the economy mode. This special CR-Z also has a Mugen driving mode, that offers an increased performance, but also reduces the mileage to 30 mpg.

Apart from being a lighter version of the Honda CR-Z, the Mugen also promises improved handling, thanks to a wider track and adjustable dampers.
