Infiniti finally revealed today the name of their new electric sports car concept - the EMERG-E. The Infiniti EMERG-E concept will have its world debut at the 2012 Geneva auto show, on March 6. The EMERG-E represents not one, but two premieres for Infiniti. The concept will be Infiniti's first vehicle to be powered by a range-extender drivetrain and it will also be the first car to have it mounted in the middle. These are about all the official details available so far.
We could speculate that the Infiniti EMERG-E is rear-wheel-drive, since the Japanese carmaker calls it a "sports car". We can also speculate that it probably packs quite a punch, even though it's an electric vehicle.
Expect the Infiniti EMERG-E to have the same elegant exterior design, as all the company's other vehicles. We'll have more details regarding the EMERG-E in the following weeks.
