The Infiniti LE Concept had its premiere this year at the New York International Auto Show, previewing a zero emission luxury sedan, powered by an electric drivetrain. The Infiniti LE measures 186.4 inches in length, 71.1 inches in width, and 58.5 inches in height. It has a 106.3-inche wheelbase and a particularly good drag coefficient of just Cd 0.25. In terms of the design, the LE concept shows the trademark flowing lines of the brand, which work together to create a high-end, premium feel. Some of the distinctive design cues of the Infiniti LE include its side fin spoilers with integrated illumination and its rear diffuser. LED headlights and taillights are also present.

To power the LE, Infiniti a 100 kW synchronous electric motor which develops 134 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque.

The juice for the motor comes from a 24 kWh lithium-ion battery, which includes 192 cells hidden in the floor of the Infiniti LE. The Infiniti LE sends the power to its front wheels via a special transmission, which includes a single-speed reducer, and a shift-by-wire drive selector with an ECO drive pattern.

The Infiniti LE can be re-charged ion three different ways. You can use an integrated port, a DC Fast Charge system or an advanced Wireless Charging System.

When using the wireless system, the Infiniti LE's rear diffuser starts to illuminate. How cool is that? In order to park your car properly over the wireless charging coil, you'll be able to use its Intelligent Park Assist system.

The interior of the Infiniti LE is the same digital display madness seen in all the latest concept cars. However, Infiniti manages to combine the digital age with good old classic analog gauges. The center cluster of the dashboard features twin displays powered by Intel, while the rest of the cabin is covered in suede, semi-aniline leather and mesh fabric.

Even though Infiniti does not say anything about putting the LE concept into production, we speculate that this will happen in the near future.
