In anticipation of the launch of the new CX5 at this year's IAA auto show in Frankfurt, Mazda released today the first video of the new crossover, together with a new set of images. Even though the Japanese car maker has already revealed the new Mazda CX5, it released today a number of "spy photos" of the new SUV. The first video of the CX5, released by Mazda today, also shows a camouflaged version of the crossover. The spy images and the new clip were filmed during a testing session carried out in Europe.
The price of the Mazda CX5 is still a well kept secret, however, we do know that the new model will go on sale at the beginning of next year.
Inspired by Mazda's KODO design language, the CX5
has already raised quite an interest among customers, partially because of its looks, and partially because it will feature the manufacturers latest technology. The Mazda CX5 will come equipped with a SKYACTIV-G 2.0 petrol engine, or a SKYACTIV-D 2.2 diesel powertrain, and it will probably be available with an AWD system. Mazda says that their new diesel engine is very efficient, emitting 120g/km of CO2.
