McLaren P1 Interior Revealed

McLaren released today the first official images of the P1's interior, which you'll be able to view in full details next month, as the hypercar is going to be on display at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. As you can see in these images the McLaren P1's interior is pretty Spartan, with just a few dials. Basically, it offers everything you need to drive it, but not much else. The interior of the P1 is mostly carbon fiber, with various parts covered in Alcantara or leather. McLaren says that the P1 has the cockpit of a fighter jet, but we're not really sure about that. A fighter jet is full of knobs and dials, while the P1 has just two of them. The McLaren P1 comes with a glass roof, sport bucket seats covered in Alcantara and leather, and a windscreen deeper than it is wide.

The equipment list of the P1 includes climate control, satellite navigation and a Meridian sound system. The P1's dashboard, floor, headlining, doors, rockers and the central control unit are all made of carbon fiber.

The P1's seats, which weigh just 10.5kg each, can be set at just two angels: 28 degrees and 32 degrees. The height of the seats will be custom made, to suit the driver and passenger, and it can be adjusted in the workshop. The McLaren P1 can be equipped with six-point race harnesses, in addition to inertia reel seat belts.
