The aftermarket specialists from VATH revealed recently a new powerkit for the Merc's new pocket rocket, the A45 AMG. VATH's power kit for the Mercedes A45 AMG increases the output of its 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine to 425 hp and 515 Nm of torque. This is 65 hp more than the standard version of the hatchback. To get the extra horsepower out of the small engine, Vath equipped the A45 AMG with a re-programmed ECU, and a new sport exhaust system with a down pipe, a 200 cells VA-stainless steel made trimetal cat, an adjustable valve and 140 x 90 mm tailpipes. Apart from the new powerkit, Vath is offering various other performance upgrades for the Mercedes A45 too. These include a coilover kit that can lower the A45's ride height between 20 mm and 65 mm.
Vath is also offering adjustable shock absorbers, and 19- or 20-inch alloys.
Vath did not disclose the price of their new Mercedes A45 AMG powerkit.
