Posaidon, a German tuning specialist, announced recently a new power kit for the Mercedes A45 AMG. In fact, Posaidon's new power pack can be fitted to all Mercedes models powered by the new 2.0-litre turbocharged engine. These include the A45 AMG, the CLA45 AMG and the GLA45 AMG. Posaidon Mercedes A45 AMG develops 445 horsepower and 535 Nm of torque thanks to a re-programmed ECU. This is 60 hp and 50 Nm of torque more than the standard version of the A45 AMG. Posaidon is offering a toned down version of the AMG too. This less powerful one develops 405 hp and 490 Nm of torque. The price of the new power pack has been set at 1,500 EUR. According to Posaidon, their version of the Mercedes A45 AMG is able to reach a top speed of 300 km/h.
However, they do not mention how much it takes to get from nought to 62 mph (100 km/h).
The Posaidon Mercedes A45 AMG comes equipped with stainless steel sport exhaust system, with valve control. The price of the exhaust has not been disclosed yet.
