Mercedes released today the first teaser images and details of the future AMG A Class - the A45 AMG. To mark the 45th anniversary of the collaboration between Mercedes and AMG, the company will reveal the A45, which is going to be the top of the range A Class, as well as the most affordable AMG model ever. The Mercedes A45 AMG is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, which was developed especially for this model. The A45 AMG will develop more than 400 Nm of torque and a yet undisclosed amount of horsepowers. The engine of the A45 AMG is mated to a SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system. The new high-performance hatchback will also be equipped with an independent sport suspension, electromechanical AMG speed-sensitive sports steering, high-performance brakes, and 3-stage ESP featuring a "SPORT Handling" mode.
The world debut of the Mercedes A45 AMG is going to take place at the beginning of next year. The hot hatch will probably go on sale next summer. As you can imagine, the Mercedes A45 AMG's price has not been announced yet.
