Opel Adam OPC Rumored

 »  »  »

Various sources are reporting today that General Motors is working on a high-performance version of the Adam. The Opel Adam OPC, which is probably going to be sold as the Vauxhall Adam VXR in the UK, will compete against the Fiat 500 Abarth and the Mini Cooper S. The Opel Adam OPC could be powered by a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine, that will probably output around 150 hp. Opel's Adam OPC could also receive a de-tuned version of the 1.6-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine of the Corsa OPC, but this unit could be a little too large. If the Opel Adam OPC will become a reality, it will probably have a stiffer suspension system, a lowered ride height, more powerful brakes and a new exhaust system. Slight aerodynamic changes are also to be expected.

The interior of the Opel Adam OPC could also feature sportier elements, such as a distinctive steering wheel, contoured seats and higher quality materials.

We'll have more details regarding the Opel Adam OPC as soon as they're available.
