The Volvo specialists from Polestar revealed today their aftermarket program for the new V60, which receives a serious performance upgrade and new styling. The Polestar Volvo V60 is powered by a 3.0-liter T6 engine, which has been upgraded and it now develops 257 kW (350 hp) at 5,700 rpm and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque between 2,800 rpm and 4,750 rpm. With this engine, the Polestar V60 is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.9 seconds and to 200 km/h in 17.7 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph (250 km/h). The engine of Polestar's V60 is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters, and a Haldex four-wheel drive system. Polestar's Volvo V60 is equipped with Ohlins shock absorbers, custom 20-inch rims, and Brembo brakes with 6-spiton calipers and 371x32 mm discs on the front axle and 302x22 mm discs on the rear one.

To get the extra power out of the T6 engine of the V60, Polestar installed a new twin-scroll Borg Warner turbocharger, a bespoke intercooler, and a 2.5-inch stainless steel full-flow exhaust system with twin 3.5-inch tail pipes.

Polestar's Volvo V60 is equipped with a new body kit that includes a front splitter, a rear spoiler and a diffuser. For the interior of the Volvo V60, Polestar is offering a sport steering wheel, sport seats, and much more.

The Polestar Volvo V60's price is going to be announced at a later date, as the car is going on sale in June 2014.
