Over the weekend, Renault launched on the Asian market a cute little car called the Pulse. The Renault Pulse was designed in India and it will go on sale in January next year. The Renault Pulse was designed to appeal to the younger generation, in need of an agile vehicle for going around town. To power the Pulse, Renault chose a 1.5 dCi engine, which is both fuel efficient and low pollutant.
Renault's Pulse is equipped with smart access key, automatically folding side mirrors, and several other features, which are not very common in this segment. In their official press release, Renault says that their Formula 1 activities led to the development of the new 1.5 dCi engine.
However, we highly doubt that any of the technological advancements achieved by their RS27 F1 engine made it into the new Pulse.
The Renault Pulse will be premiered at the New Delhi Motor Show in January 2012. The price of the new model will be announced at a later date.
