VLF Automotive, a company founded by former General Motors Vice Chairman Bob Lutz and designer Henrik Fisker, revealed at the 2016 NAIAS the new Force 1 V10 supercar. The VLF Force 1 comes with a front mid-mounted engine, rear-wheel drive architecture and a carbon fiber body. Its power comes from the same 8.4-liter V10 engine as the one used in the Dodge Viper. According to the official specifications, the VLF Force 1 develops 745 hp at 6100 rpm and 638 lb-ft. (928 Nm) of torque at 5000 rpm. With this engine, the VLF Force 1 is able to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 3.0 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 218 mph (350 km/h). It can run the quarter mile in 10.97 seconds at 136,88 mph. The VLF Force 1 comes as standard with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Optionally, you can equip it with a 6-speed sequential gearbox.
The VLF Force 1 measures 4545 mm in length, 2018 mm in width and 1243 mm in height. It has a 2512-mm long wheelbase and it weighs 3395 pounds (1538 kg). The equipment list of the VLF Force 1 includes 21-inch wheels, Pirelli P Zero tires, Brembo brakes, and UTV laser-blade rear lights. The new supercar comes with a uniquely designed side window, called day light opening (DLO).
The VLF Force 1's price starts at $268,500 and it will go on sale in the third quarter of 2016. VLF plans to build just 50 units of the Force 1.
