Vauxhall Adam Spied

General Motors announced today the name of the rumored Vauxhall/Opel Junior model. It is Adam. That's right, new model will be called Vauxhall Adam in the United Kingdom and Opel Adam in the rest of Europe. To mark the occasion, Vauxhall has released a couple of so-called spy images showing Adam in action. To announce Adam's name, Vauxhall launched a comic book like press release, which does disclose a few interesting details. For starters, customers will be able to fully personalize their Vauxhall Adam. They will be able to customize the car's interior and exterior design, but we doubt there will be any performance upgrades available. Vauxhall also announced that Adam's world premiere is going to take place at the 2012 Paris Auto Show this September.

This means that Vauxhall/Opel Adam will go on sale sometime towards the end of this year, or the beginning of the next one.

The Vauxhall Adam is a three-door hatchback, designed to go along perfectly with an urban lifestyle. It's going to be powered with a range of highly efficient engines, including 1.0-liter, 1.4-liter and 1.6-liter units. Adam will be available with both petrol and turbocharged diesel engines, and we might even see a high performance version later in its life.

The Vauxhall Adam is designed for the younger generation, which means it will have Bluetooth and iPhone connectivity, together with a whole range of other gadgets.

We'll have more details about the Opel/Vauxhall Adam as soon as they're available.
