The first images of the Volkswagen Amarok Power leaked over the web today, ahead of the concept's debut, which is scheduled for the 2014 VW event in Worthersee. The VW Amarok Power pick-up truck measures 5.25 meters in length and it is fitted with a state-of-the-art sound system that puts out no less than 5,000 watts. Volkswagen developed the Amarok Power concept so that it will be able to carry all the sound equipment necessary for such an event as the Worthersee VW GTI meet. The Volkswagen Amarok Power is finished in gray with black and orange accents. VW used both metallic, high-gloss and matt surfaces. The Amarok Power pickup truck sits on massive 22-inch light alloy wheels painted in gunmetal. The equipment list of the Amarok Power includes bi-xenon headlights, various chromed styling parts, and chrome-plated twin tailpipes.
For the interior of the Amarok Power, Volkswagen chose Nappa leather and black Alcantara. They used these materials to cover the steering wheel, the sport bucket seats, the door panels, and another parts. There are various carbon fiber trim parts too.
The VW Amarok Power comes with a high-end sound system. It features a Xone 92 Allen & Heath, a Pioneer CDJ900NXS player, two VOID ACOUSTICS Impulse 3t, a VOID ACOUSTICS Stasys Xair subwoofer and various speakers from the same manufacturer. All the sound equipment can be fitted in the 3.5 m2 loading area of the Amarok Power concept.
The Volkswagen Amarok Power measures 5,254 mm in length, 2,228 mm in width, and 1,740 mm in height. It is powered by the 3.0-liter V6 TDI engine that develops 200 kW and 600 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Thanks to this powertrain, the Amarok Power is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 7.9 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 210 km/h.
