Volkswagen takes Touchscreens to New Levels with the Golf R Touch

 »  »  »

Under the unassuming exterior of this Volkswagen Golf R lies a touchscreen display that brings Need For Speed into real life. In fact, this is the VW's name - the Golf R Touch. There's so much technology under the skin of this little Golf we're not even sure where to being. For starters, there's a huge 12.8-inch high-resolution touchscreen and an 8-inch touch Control Center underneath. From these two screens the driver can control pretty much all the functions of the car, except the actual driving part. The Volkswagen Golf R Touch's gauges have been replaced by a 12.3-inch Active Information Display. As you can imagine, the displays are customizable. Another interesting feature of the VW Golf R Touch is its 3D interior camera, which is mounted on the roofliner.

It enables you to open or close the sunroof by moving your hand back and forward.

The Volkswagen Golf R Touch comes with countless other features, which are detailed here. Please make sure you watch the video presentation available below.
