Gordon Murray Design and Yamaha revealed at the 2013 LA Auto Show this cute little car called the MOTIV.e concept. The Yamaha MOTIV.e measures 2,690 mm in length, 1,470 mm in width, and 1,480 mm in height. It weighs 730 kg and it offers two seats. The Yamaha MOTIV.e is powered by an electric motor that develops 15 kW and 658 Nm of continuous power and torque. The MOTIV.e's electric motor peaks at 25 kW and 896 Nm of torque. The MOTIV.e can be re-charged in 3 hours and it comes with a single speed transmission and rear-wheel-drive. Yamaha's official specs say that the MOTIV.e needs 15 seconds to get to 100 km/h, that it has a maximum range of more than 100 km and that it can reach a top speed of more than 100 km/h.
The Yamaha MOTIV.e is equipped with ABS, ESP traction control, air bags, a safety cell and an anti-side intrusion system. We'll have more details about the MOTIV.e as soon as Yamaha makes them available.
