The 2012 Hyundai Azera, also known as Grandeur on some market, was premiered today at the 2011 LA Auto Show. The 2012 Azera is Hyundai fifth model to designed using the company's Fluidic Sculpture language. Hyundai's 2012 Azera is four-door sedan, measuring 193.3 in. in length, 73.2 in. in width and 57.9 in. in height. TO power the 2012 Azera, Hyundai uses its Lambda II 3.3-liter Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engine, which outputs 293 hp at 6400 rpm and 255 lb-ft of torque at 5,200 rpm. The 2012 Azera will be available with a house six-speed automatic transmission only. Hyundai rates the new sedan with a 23-mpg fuel economy on the combined cycle, 20 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.

In comparison to the previous models, the 2012 Hyundai Azera comes with a completely new exterior design. It features wraparound LED taillights, HID headlamps and 19-inch alloys. At the interior, Hyundai's Azera 2012 offers 45 inches of legroom and 40 inches of headroom for the front passengers. Its interior equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, 3D Carbon interior accents, ambient lighting, and an electrochromic auto-dimming rear-view mirror with HomeLink.

Hyundai worked hard on improving the handling and comfort of the Azera model range.



For this reason, the 2012 Azera comes equipped with MacPherson strut front suspension, coil springs, a 24-mm diameter front stabilizer bar and a multi-link independent rear suspension. The new Azera also comes with a set of Sachs Amplitude Selective Dampers (ASD).

As far as safety goes, the 2012 Hyundai Azera features all the systems you would expect from a modern vehicle. Apart from the airbags, the Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) and the ESC, Hyundai also equips the 2012 Azera with a Motor-Driven electric Power Steering (MDPS).

For entertainment purposes, the 2012 Azera offers XM Satellite Radio and all the other XM services, Bluetooth / iPod / USB connectivity, a seven-inch WVGA touchscreen, and voice-activation.
