2014 BMW X4 Concept

BMW revealed at the end of last week the much awaited 2014 X4 Concept, which will go into production next year. The BMW X4 is basically a coupe version of the X3. You can also see it a sized down version of the popular X6. BMW X4 concept measures 4,648mm in length, 1,915mm in width, and 1,622mm in height. It has a 2,810mm long wheelbase and 21-inch alloys. The X4 is a new version of the BMW's Sports Activity Coupe concept, which started with the X6 a few years ago. BMW's X4 concept features a long bonnet, short overhangs and set back cabin. To mark the identity of the X4, BMW gave it the trademark kidney grille and distinctive twin circular full-LED headlights. BMW says that the X4 comes with a wide track, and a low center of gravity.

The X4 also features LED tail lights, stylish front and rear aprons and a pair of quite interesting exhaust tips.

So far the BMW X4 is just a design concept, so the German carmaker did not disclose many of its technical details. However, we can make a few assumptions. BMW is probably going to sell the X4 with a choice between various petrol and diesel engines. So far the carmaker did not say anything about a possible M version of the X4, but an X4M is not entirely out of the question. The production version of the X4 will probably get an all-wheel-drive system too.

We'll have more details regarding the BMW X4 as soon as the Bavarian car manufacturer makes them available. You can find more information regarding the BMW X4 here.
