One of today's rumor says that Volkswagen is working on a 3-cylinder version of the popular Volkswagen Golf. The 3-cylinder engine that will power the Volkswagen Golf will also be used on other models of the brand. The German company is also expected to introduce a hybrid version of the VW Golf that will use the Twin Drive technology. The Twin Drive Volkswagen Golf uses electric energy produced with the help of the wind and the water and in recent testing it managed a fuel economy of 2.5 liters per 100 km. Currently, the German brand is testing a fleet of Volkswagen Golf Twin Drive in collaboration with the government.

VW plans to sell the hybrid Golf Twin Drive in the U.S. and China, but if there will be demand, it will also sell it in Europe.
