The Acura NSX GT3 racecar had its world debut at the 2016 New York International Auto Show. The new racer is going to compete in various North American races starting from next year. The Acura NSX GT3 is currently undergoing testing and awaits its FIA GT3 homologation. The Acura NSX GT3 is powered by a 3.5-liter, 75-degree, twin-turbo DOHC V6 engine. Unfortunately, the carmaker did not disclose the horsepower and torque outputs of the racecar, nor its 0-62 mph acceleration or its top speed. However, they do mention its engine has the same architecture as the one on the production NSX. This includes the block, heads, valvetrain, crankshaft, pistons and dry sump lubrication system. The engine of the Acura NSX GT3 is mated to a 6-speed, sequential-shift racing gearbox and a rear-wheel-drive system.

The Acura NSX GT3 is built using the same multi-material body and the same aluminum spaceframe chassis as its production sibling. The Acura NSX GT3 was initially developed in Japan and it was tested on race tracks in both Japan and Europe. We'll have more details regarding the NSX GT3 as soon as they are available.
