Elemental Cars, a new British car manufacturer, revealed today the production version of their RP1. The Elemental RP1 is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder EcoBoost engine developed by Ford, which delivers 280 hp. The Elemental RP1 is going to be sold with a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder EcoBoost engine too. There is also a 999cc bike engine available. The bike in question is a Honda Fireblade. The power of the Elemental RP1 is sent to its rear wheels through a 6-speed sequential transmission developed by Hewland. Elemental builds an RP1 using an aluminum and carbon fiber central tube, and an aluminum floor. The rest of the RP1 is build using carbon fiber. This means that the RP1 has a very low weight. So far Elemental did not disclose the performance figures (top speed and 0-61 mph acceleration time) of the RP1.

According to the official specs, the Elemental RP1 is equipped with a double wishbone suspension, and Eibach springs and Nitron dampers. The RP1 sits on a set of 17-inch alloys and high-performance brakes with 280 mm discs and calipers taken from a Caparo T1.

The Elemental RP1's price has not been disclosed yet.
