The Mazda Takeri was revealed today, as the Japanese carmaker is preparing to debut their new four-door sedan concept. The world premiere of the Mazda Takeri concept will take place at the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show, which will open its gates on Wednesday, 30 November. Mazda's Takeri concept previews the company's future mid-size sedan, which promises to bring new levels of strength to saloon styling. Following Mazda's new KODO – Soul of Motion design language, the Takeri will feature SKYACTIV technology. One of the main innovations brought by the Takeri is Mazda's first regenerative braking system. This type of systems is used to capture the energy released during braking, and to used for re-charging the car's battery.

In turn, this reduces the stress on the engine, lowers its fuel consumption and its CO2 emissions.

For the Takeri, Mazda employs the help of all its latest technological achievements. The Takeri will come with a SKYACTIV-D diesel engine, the i-stop Start/Stop system, a new lightweight structure, more efficient aerodynamic and an improved chassis.
