Porsche revealed today the complete specs list of their electric Boxster E, just as the prototype makes its appearance at the Michelin Challenge Bibendum in Berlin. Porsche's electric Boxster has a mid-engine architecture and comes in rear and four wheel-drive variants. The Porsche Boxster E RWD is powered by an electric motor with an output of 90 kW and 270 Nm of torque. The rear-wheel-drive version of the electric Boxster is able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 9.8 seconds and has a top speed of 93 mph (150 km/h)

The four-wheel-drive version of the Boxster E has two electric motors, one for each axle, and has a total output of 180 kW and 540 Nm of torque. Porsche's specifications say it has a maximum

engine speed of 12,000 rpm. The AWD Boxster E has serious performance hidden beneath its skin. It can rocket from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.5 seconds and has a top speed of 124 mph (200 km/h).

To juice the motors of the electric Boxster, Porsche uses 440 individual lithium-iron-phosphate battery cells, each with a 3.3 V nominal voltage and a 20 Ah capacity. With this setup, Porsche says the Boxster E has a range of about 107 miles (170 km) and a weight of 1,600 kg.

The official specs say the Porsche Boxster E requires nine hours for a full re-charge of the battery.
