The electric Porsche Boxster E has been unveiled today, as the German sportscar manufacturer announces that it will start testing it as part of the model region electromobility Region Stuttgart. Matthias Muller, CEO of Porsche AG, unveiled the three electric Porsche Boxster E prototypes in the presence of Stefan Mappus, the Prime Minister of Baden-Württemberg. The electric Porsche Boxster E is mainly a test bed for researching customer behavior during its daily routine. This includes going shopping and other urban based activities.
The manufacturer say the small roadster is the perfect platform for building the electric Porsche Boxster E, as it's light enough to install the electric motor and battery.
The technical details and specs of the electric Porsche Boxster E are scarce at the moment. What we do know is that the electric Porsche Boxster E is powered by two motors, with a total output of 180 kW and that it batteries have a capacity of 29 kWh.
