According to the British publication, The Guardian, the former Stig has been hired by Fifth Gear. Apparently, after being fired by Top Gear for revealing the identity of The Stig, race driver Ben Collins has been hired by Fifth Gear which airs on Channel 5. Ben Collins, a.k.a. The Stig, will make its debut on "the other" British car show on Friday, when the new season starts.
It seems Fifth Gear will go even further and put Ben Collins in a Stig-like role. He will wear different race outfits and will also co-host the show.
It seems that Fifth Gear takes whatever it can from Top Gear. They already have Tiff Needell and Vicki Butler-Henderson, who previously worked
for Top Gear. Now they also have The Stig.
Ben Collins will feature on at least five episode of Fifth Gear and will probably go with head to head in various races against Jason Plato and Tiff Needell.
