Last week the Telegraph claimed they know the identity of The Stig - Top Gear's test driver. They said it is Le Mans race driver Ben Collins, age 33. This week however, Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson denies the Stig's identity and says it's not Ben Collins. In his column at The Sun Jeremy Clarkson says there are four people used for the Stig - three of them are used for still shots and only one is allowed on the track. He goes on to say that the real Stig is Damon Hill and Tiff Needell.
To put an end to all the speculations, Mr. Clarkson reveals the identity of the Stig and says it's BBC's royal reporter Nicholas Witchell. We have a tough time believing this claim, though.
Jeremy Clarkson also said that the frenzy surrounding the person behind the white suit has become so intense, that the show's researchers are being followed by the paparazzi.
We believe the Stig would stop being so much fun if we knew who he really is.
