With every auto show that passes, Toyota is trying to reinvent the wheel again and again. At this year's LA Auto Show they revealed these two contraptions, called the i-Road and the FV2. The Toyota i-Road measures 2,350 mm in length, 850 mm in width, and 1,445 mm in height. It has a 1,700 mm wheelbase and it offers two seats. The Toyota i-Road promises to offer the freedom of a motorcycle and the comfort and stability of a car. The i-Road showcases Toyota's latest active lean system that raises and lowers the left and right front wheels to automatically optimize the vehicle angle. The i-Road weighs 300 kg and it's powered by two 2 kW electric motors integrated into the front wheels. Toyota says that the i-Road is able to reach a top speed of 45 km/h and that it has a maximum range of 30 miles.

The Toyota FV2 measures 3,000 mm in length, 1,600 mm in width and it has a 2,360 mm long wheelbase. The FV2 has two functioning modes. In the "sleep mode" the FV2 measures 990 mm in height, while in the "driving mode" it stands 1,780 mm tall. Toyota's FV2 concept is a one-seater urban vehicle, with a rather interesting steering system. The driver has the shift his body weight to go left, right, faster or to slow down.
