ABT Volkswagen Beetle 2012

ABT Sportsline launched today an aftermarket program for the latest generation Volkswagen Beetle (2012). The new kit gives the Beetle a few more "legs" and updated visuals. The 2.0 TFSI version of the 2012 VW Beetle gets a 40 PS (29 kW) power upgrade, which raises its total output to 240 hp (176 kW). The extra ponies probably come from a re-programmed ECU and from the bespoke exhaust system. ABT's kit for the 2012 Beetle includes a set of decals with a carbon fiber look, headlight and rear light covers, a special insert around the license plate, and a front spoiler. The new ABT Volkswagen Beetle (2012) comes with a set of 18- or 20-inch light alloy wheels, with a dark finish and red accents.

For the 2013 Beetle, ABT Sportsline also upgraded its brakes, which now feature black painted calipers, and its suspension springs. The price of ABT's new program for the 2012 Volkswagen Beetle has not been announced yet.
