Volkswagen is currently offering a Fender sound system for the Jetta and the latest generation of the Beetle. Yesterday at the 2011 Frankfurt auto show, VW revealed a special edition version of the Beetle, developed in collaboration with Fender. The Volkswagen Beetle Fender special edition comes with several distinctive interior and exterior features, together with a state-of-the-art sound system. Volkswagen’s Fender Beetle features 3-color ambience lighting (red, white, blue), 2 sets of tweeters with neodymium magnets and fabric domes, woofers with both dual and single voice coils, and a dual voice coil bass box in the luggage compartment. The VW Beetle Fender also features a 10-channel amplifier with Class A/B power amplifiers and 400 Watts.

For the exterior of the Beetle Fender, Volkswagen uses 19-inch alloys, a leather coated roof, chromed side mirror coverings, door handles, side sills and other trim parts, and 2-tailpipe exhaust system. The Volkswagen Beetle Fender has a 10 mm wider track, and a 30 mm lowered ride height. Other distinctive features of the Beetle Fender include a chromed signature and a guitar pick decal on the bonnet.

Volkswagen fitted the interior of the Fender Beetle with the RNS 510 radio-navigation system, colored metallic controls, a pick holder and various other styling accents.

The Volkswagen Beetle Fender price will be announced at a later date.
