Infiniti revealed today their new four-door sports sedan - the Q50 (2014). The Infiniti Q50 comes with a few novelties, such as Direct Adaptive Steering and Active Lane Control, the new generation of the InTouch system that comes with dual touch-screens and a choice between two engines. The most powerful version of the Infiniti Q50 has a 3.7-litre V6 petrol engine with Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS) and Variable Valve Event & Lift (VVEL) that puts out 328 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. The hybrid version of Infiniti's Q50 has a 3.5-litre petrol V6 and an electric motor. Its v6 engine is rated at 302 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, while the 50 kW electric motor rated at 67 hp and 199 lb-ft of torque. The hybrid powertrain develops 360 hp.

The Infiniti Q50 is equipped with 7-speed electronically controlled automatic gearbox, with Downshift Rev Matching, a manual shift mode and Adaptive Shift Control. Infiniti is going to sell the Q5 with either a rear-wheel drive or an Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system.

The Infiniti Q50 measures 4782 mm in length, 1824 mm in width, and 1443 mm in height. It promises 510 liters of cargo space for the 3.7-litre V6 version and 399 liters for the hybrid version.



The equipment list of the Infiniti Q50 includes, among others, LED head lamps, heated front seats and steering wheel, aluminum and maple wood trim parts, Advanced Climate Control System (ACCS) with Plasmacluster and a RearView Monitor. Infiniti equips the Q5 sedan with a Bose sound system, and an Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection. The Infiniti Q50 also comes with a long list of safety systems.
