Mercedes launched this week a new promotional video for the new SLS AMG Roadster, offering some amazing driving scenes, together with an unforgettable sound. The two and a half minute long clip was shot in various locations across South America, which seem to be made especially for open-top motoring. The SLS AMG Roadster is based on the coupe, and replaces the gullwing doors and hard-top with a fabric soft-top that opens / closes in eleven seconds.
The Mercedes SLS Roadster is powered by the same 6.3-liter engine as the coupe, which is good for 571 hp and 650 Nm of torque. Mercedes says that the new SLS roadster is able to get from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 317 km/h.
Imagine going at over 300 km/h with the wind in your hair. That must be quite an experience.
