Comedian and TV host Jay Leno was recently invited by Mercedes to visit them at their AMG headquarters in Affalterbach, Germany. Mr. Leno was invited to personally review the new Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster. He received a comprehensive overview of the SLS AMG by Ola Kallenius, the Chairman of the Mercedes-AMG GmbH management board. apart from having a chance of driving the new SLS roadster, Jay Leno was also given the opportunity to test drive the electric SLS AMG E-CELL.
Just as the Gullwing, the Mercedes SLS Roadster is powered by the 6.3 liter engine, which sends 571 hp and 650 Nm of torque to the car's rear wheels. Mercedes says that the roadster version
of the SLS is able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.8 seconds and that it has a top speed of 317 km/h.
