Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster after taking a second look at the Mercedes 2011 Super Bowl ad from earlier today, we saw an interesting fact. The commercial actually officially reveals the new Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster. For a brief second around the 1 m 27 s mark in the advert, you can clearly see the side view of the new Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster.
No official details of the Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster have been released yet, but we can make a few assumptions. For starters, the Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster will no longer have the gullwing doors of the coupe and will probably have a soft-top.
The Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster will be powered by
the same engine as the coupe, meaning it will have a 6.3-liter unit developing 571 hp. The manufacturer might choose to give the Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster some extra power to make up for the increased weight of the car.
The Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster official debut could take place at the Geneva auto show next month.
