Morgan Super Sports Comeback

 »  »  »

According to our British sources, the Morgan Super Sports Three Wheeler is set to make a comeback with a new version that will mark the brand's centenary. This will be the first new Morgan Three Wheeler in almost 60 years. If a Morgan Three Wheeler does not convince you, here are a few people that drove them back in the day: Brigitte Bardot, Queen Noor of Jordan, Ralph Lauren, and it was the first car Sir Stirling Moss has driven.

The Morgan Super Sports comeback has been confirmed by Jill Price, the sister of the company's managing director Charles Morgan. The modern Morgan Three Wheeler will be powered by a 1,100cc or 1,000cc v-twin engine, based on the original JA Prestwich unit.

The new Morgan Super Sports is expected to output 90 hp, which could get it up to a top speed of around 160 km/h. We're not sure this is really a good idea. Let's not forget the trouble Jeremy Clarkson got himself into with the three wheel vehicle he redolently drove...

Our British sources even claim that Morgan is planning racing versions of its new Three Wheeler. The new Morgan Super Sports price is expected to come at around 46,000 GBP, which seems quite expensive at the moment.

We'll have more details on the new Morgan Super Sports as soon as they become available.
