Ford offered today a preview of the production-ready 2013MY B-MAX, which will have its world debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. Ford calls the new B-MAX a compact multi-activity vehicle, which is city-friendly and offers plenty of cargo space. The production version of the Ford B-MAX comes a year after its concept was presented in Geneva and it will go on sale in the UK this September. Ford's B-MAX will be available with either a 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine, or a range of Duratorq TDCi diesel units. The petrol version of the B-MAX promises an output of 125 PS while offering a 58.9mpg fuel economy (Ford does not mention in which cycle).

One of the innovative features of the B-MAX Ford is its loading door, which offers wide-open access for drivers, passengers and luggage.

They were able to build it this way by integrating the center pillar directly into the door.

We'll have more information on the Ford B-MAX, as well as pricing, at the time of its launch.

UPDATE: Ford shows the door opening mechanism of the 2013 B-MAX. It features hinged front doors and sliding rear doors, which create a 1.5-meter wide access area. The first image of B-MAX's doors is available below.
