HPA Motorsports:

"Fresh from the HPA workshop has emerged a new Volkswagen Beetle designed to take on one of the most demanding endurance races available in North America. The Cannonball One Lap of America race is a nine day automotive marathon that requires the complete commitment of car and driver as they traverse nearly 4000 miles and compete on nine tracks to prove reliability and durability can be delivered in a race bred package."

First in the build process HPA had to make sure that the Beetle platform can offer the grip necessary to harness the 483 ft/lbs of torque the HPA twin turbo system will infuse into the 3.2L engine. They had to strip down the whole Beetle

and remove all the welds so that the factory floor panel could be removed. After that hey installed a new factory 4motion floor pan to ensure that the HPA Cannonball Volkswagen Beetle performs and handles as it should.

Performance upgrades:

HPA built its name around turbo conversions. HPA says that the performance in this Beetle is at



an "exotic" level. The twin turbo system provides seamless, linear power. The true potential of the HPA Cannonball Volkswagen Beetle can be seen only on a race track. The HPA Cannonball Volkswagen Beetle has a NX halo system, 8 piston, 365mm brakes and 3 way adjustable KW racing suspension.

Interior and Styling upgrades:

HPA is not all about riding fast, but also about riding in style. Unfortunately in the case of the HPA Cannonball Volkswagen Beetle shape lost the battle with functionality. The HPA Cannonball

Volkswagen Beetle has a RSI body work, steamroller wide 18x9 wheels, a massive functional wing, and a carbon fiber hood kept in place with racing hood pins. At the interior the HPA Cannonball Volkswagen Beetle has Sparco belts and Stack instrumentation, Pioneer navigation and a 6 point roll cage.
