 »  »  »

Honda introduces the lawn mower from hell. With 109 hp under its skin, this lawn mower, which Honda likes to call the Mean Mower, can accelerate from zero to 60 mph (just under 100 km/h) in just 4 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 130 mph (210 km/h). Honda powers the Mean Mower with a 1.0-liter VTR 1000F Firestorm engine that's good for 109 hp and 96Nm of torque. With a weight of just 140kg, the new Honda lawn mower, which is based on the HF2620 Lawn Tractor, has a power-to-weight ratio of 532bhp/ton. The new lawn mower is also equipped with a 6-speed gearbox with paddle shifters. Honda's Mean Mower is not only about going fast. It's also about going loud. According to its specifications it produces 130db.

Honda's new lawn mower is built on a customized 4130 chromoly chassis, and it features an ATV suspension and wheels. It comes with a fiber-glasscutter deck, a high capacity oil cooler, a secondary water cooling radiator, and two electric motors for cutting grass. It can do that at speeds of up to 15mph.

Honda developed their mad new lawn mower in collaboration with British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) partner, Team Dynamics.
