According to recent rumors, the new Volkswagen Beetle will come in 2012 and will bring more interior room, especially in the back. Stefan Jacoby, president and CEO of Volkswagen Group of America said the 2012 Volkswagen Beetle will feature better packaging and more space for the back seats.
Stefan Jacoby also said the company expects the new 2012 Volkswagen Beetle will be more successful than the current version and they expect it will sell in more units. Apparently, the most complaints received by VW about the current Volkswagen Beetle are related to the space offered for the rear passengers.
The CEO also said the 2012 Volkswagen Beetle will be more of a "halo car" car for the company and that it will represent an important step forward.
