The Volkswagen GT up design study on display these days at the 2011 Frankfurt auto show, previews a high performance version of the company's new model. The production version of the new concept might get the GT logo, but it might also receive the GTI one. the production version of the VW Up currently offers engine with power outputs that don't go past the 55 kW / 75 PS mark. The Volkswagen GT up however, might get a 100 PS engine, which coupled with a weight of just 900 kg, could transform the new small model in quite a pocket rocket.

The Volkswagen GT up concept comes with a oryx white pearl effect exterior finish, a new front bumper with integrated LED daytime running light strips, a larger front grille, new side skirts,

and a new rear bumper with an integrated diffuser. Like any performance model, VW's GT up comes with a two tailpipe, left and right, exhaust system. Volkswagen's GT up also comes with a roof spoiler and 17-inch light alloy wheels covered in 195 tires.

At the interior, Volkswagen gives the GT up various styling accents, including a black roofliner. The production version of the GT up might also get sportier front seats.

We'll have more details on the Volkswagen GT up as soon as they're available.
