Volkswagen announced today the price list of their new small model, the Up, for the UK market, where it goes on sale today. The first deliveries of the VW Up will begin next spring. Volkswagen will sell the Up with a single engine, which will be available in two power output levels (60 PS and 75 PS), and a 5-speed manual transmission. Volkswagen's new three-door mini will be available in the UK in four trim levels, Take up!, Move up!, High up! and up!, which will come in black or white. The Volkswagen Up UK pice list starts at 7,995 GBP for the Take up! entry level model, and goes up to 11,180 GBP for the top of the line, up! white / black version. The standard equipment list of the Volkswagen Up includes LED daytime running lgihts, side head/thorax airbags, the company's RCD 215 CD radio, and 14-inch steel wheels.
The optional equipment offered with the Up includes eight different packs: Sensor, Driver's assistance, Comfort, Winter, Chrome, Sports, Sound and Leather-look. Each of the packs is priced between 100 GBP and 650 GBP, which is the cost of the leather interior. The Driver's assistance pack, which includes such safety features as City Emergency Braking and ESP, will cost you 400 GBP,
while the 16-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension and tinted glass are available at 450 GBP.
