BMW unveiled today the M version of their 5-door 1-Series, which is called the M135i. The BMW M135i concept is going to be unveiled next month, during the opening of the 2012 Geneva auto show. The power of the BMW M135i comes from the 3.0-liter straight 6-cylinder engine, equipped with M Performance Twin Power Turbo technology. Even though BMW has not confirmed it, we suspect that the new 1-Series M develops 306 hp and 400 Nm of torque. Even though the BMW M135i Concept is based on the 5-door version of the 1-Series, it comes with a 3-door body style. This makes it more compact and gives it a more dynamic look.

Apart from the modified body, the new M135i Bimmer also comes with improved aerodynamics. The M135i's body kit includes a new front and rear bumpers, and a rear roof spoiler.

Unfortunately, the trademark four tailpipe exhaust system of the M cars is not used for the M135i concept. Maybe it will get it in the production form.

BMW's M135i concept is equipped with an M sports braking system with blue calipers, and 18-inch alloys.

Unfortunately, BMW did not disclose any other actual details about the M135i. However, they did confirm they will put it into production in the near future. They also seem to hint at a further development of the 1 Series. Could we get an even more powerful 3-door 1 Series in the future?

We'll have more details about the BMW M135i at the time of its premiere in Geneva.
