Schmidt Revolution revealed today their new upgrade kit for the Volkswagen Golf GTI V. Even though the Golf VI GTI has been on the market for quite some time now, it seems that its predecessor is still raising an interest in the aftermarket community. Schmidt Revolution's Golf GTI is powered by the 2.0 TFSI engine, which, thanks to a few upgrades, now outputs 275 hp instead of the standard 200 hp. To get the extra horsepowers, Schmidt equipped the VW Golf GTI with an optimized ECU software, developed by STO-chip tuning, a RFI Air Intake, and a modified exhaust system. The new exhaust of the Schmidt Golf VI GTI resembles the one of the R32 Golf and it was developed by Friedrich Motorsport Lichtenfels.

The Schmidt Revolution Volkswagen Golf GTI is fitted with 19-inch wheels and Marangoni M-power tires. It features an OEM R32 rear apron and a Kenwood DNX520VBT navigation system.

Schmidt Revolution did not announce the price of their new aftermarket program for the Volkswagen Golf V GTI.
