Volkswagen Golf GTI Cabrio Austria

Volkswagen's apprentices presented at this year's Worthersee event the new Golf GTI Cabrio Austria concept. Fourteen students and four professionals worked for a whole year to build this Golf GTI Cabrio two-seater one-off model. The VW Golf GTI Cabrio Austria comes with a two-tone red and white exterior finish. The power of the Golf GTI Austria comes from the 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine, that's good for 333 PS / 245 kW. For the exterior finish of the GTI Austria, the students chose an Oryx White mother-of-pearl effect with Flash Red stripes on various parts of the cabriolet. The cabrio's side mirrors and brake calipers are painted in red. For the interior of the Golf GTI Cabrio Austria, Volkswagen's students chose a set of bespoke Recaro sports seats. There's also a new leather steering wheel.

The rear seats of the cabriolet GTI have been replaced by a new 2,250-watt sound system with eleven speakers. The Volkswagen Golf GTI Cabrio Austria is currently just a show car, so it will probably never make it into production.
