Volkswagen announced today the price list of the new Golf GTI Cabrio for the UK market. The Volkswagen Golf GTI Cabrio was arrived in the British showrooms just ion time for the summer, as the first deliveries will take place in July. In The United Kingdom, the cabriolet version of the Golf GTI will be available in two versions: one equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox and the other with a six-speed dual-clutch DSG gearbox. Both versions of the VW Golf GTI Cabrio are powered by the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, which is good for 210 PS and 206 lbs. ft (280 Nm) of torque between 1,700 rpm and 5,300 rpm. However, their performance figures differ. The DSG version of the Golf GTI Cabriolet has a top speed of 146 mph, a 36.7 mpg combined fuel consumption and a 180 g/km CO2 emissions level.
The manual model is rated with a top speed of 147 mph, a 37.2 mpg fuel economy and with 177 g/km of CO2 emissions. Both versions of the Golf GTI Cabrio require 7.3 seconds to get from nought to 62 mph.
The Volkswagen Golf GTI Cabrio UK price list starts at £29,310 RRP OTR for the manual model and at £30,610 RRP OTR for the DSG version. The standard equipment list of the Golf GTI Cabrio include 18-inch alloys, darkened LED tail lights, a distinctive body kit and chromed trim elements. Just as the hatchback version of the Golf GTI, the cabriolet is equipped with a EDS electronic differential lock and an XDS transverse differential lock.
